Power BI on shared drive
Hi, We work on a cloud based system and I am trying to let my manager view and edit the work I am doing in Power BI. I have saved to a shared drive and given her permission but it is stating that a licence is needed. Are you able to confirm that this is the case. Is there anyway she can access and view what I am doing without a licence?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
RE: Power BI on shared drive
Hi Lisa,
Thankyou for your question to the forum.
You can share Power BI reports with others without a licence but it is more limited than if you had a licence. Here are some of the solutions to try:
1. In Power BI desktop go to FILE > EXPORT > EXPORT TO PDF (View only)
2. In Power BI service, open the report and go to EXPORT > POWERPOINT > EMBED AN IMAGE (again View only)
3. If your manager has Power BI desktop installed on their device then you can send them the pbix file (View and Interact with)
I hope this helps
Kind regards
