Can i access a hidden file in excel as a source
RE: PowerBI
Hi Eni,
Thank you for the forum question and thank you for the nice feedback. I am happy that you found the course useful.
I have found a solution, but it is a walk around.
Make a dummy Excel file. Call a worksheet the same name as the hidden worksheet in the source file (you do not need to add any data to the sheet). Connect Power BI to the dummy Excel file and in the Navigator window tick the worksheet you have created with the same name as the hidden sheet in the source file.
Go down bottom right and click Transform Data to open the Query editor. Under the steps to the right side of the Query editor, click on the gear icon to the right of the first step Source and browse and select the source file with the hidden sheet and click OK.
I hope all this make sense.
Kind regards
