Trend lines in clustered column chart

Hello,

I have created a custom column chart with 2 columns per year )1 for a total number of inspections and 1 for the total number of observations).

I want to add a trend line for the number of observations ONLY. However the analysis tool only allows me to do a combined trendline or 2 trendlines (1 for each) how do I remove the line for year and keep the data in the chart?

Thank you for your help!
Best,
Georgia

RE: trend lines in clustered column chart

Hi Georgia,

Thank you for the forum question.

Unfortunately you do not have an easy solution.

If you have two series in the chart, you can only combine the trendline or have one for each.

If you have a good level of DAX knowledge, you can create a measure which you can add to the chart, which will display the trend for only one of you two series.

You can use the LINEST function, but as mentioned, you will need to understand more advanced DAX to create the measure.
