Can you use a list of codes to sort through masses of data and f
Hi,
I have a years worth of sales data, and I want to only have the data for a certain list of products.
Is it possible to create a list of codes, and then almost use that as a filter to remove any of the other data? I have done this before but manually, where I create a list of codes and in the next column have Y and then do an index match to pick up the Y and then filter on it, but I wonder if there is a better way?
Thank you,
Jo

Hi Joanne,
Thank you for the forum question.
You can use the Advanced filter.
Please find attached file with an example.
You need to select a cell in the list. Click Advanced filter. Click in the Criteria Range box and select the in my example the yellow range starting from A1.
