Using dates as row headings - power BI summing data
Hi,
I am trying to use a table with dates as the row headings (Jan-21, Feb-21 etc.) with account names in the column headings. However, when I try and create a graph with (example ) staff costs for Jan 2021, the graph is summing all the data under jan - so not just staff costs, but all costs. How do I stop the graph summing all data in Jan-21?
Thanks
RE: Using dates as row headings - power BI summing data
Hi Kerri,
Thank you for the forum question.
In the Filters pane you can filter the graph to only display the Staff costs.
Select the graph and you should be able in the Filters pane to see the columns you have added to he graph. If you hover over the column header in the Filters pane, you get a down arrow to the right of the column header. Click the down arrow and you can now untick the accounts you don't want to summarise on the graph.
I hope this makes sense
Kind regards

Power BI tip:Implement Row-Level Security (RLS)If your reports contain sensitive information, implement Row-Level Security to control access to data at the row level. RLS allows you to define rules that restrict data access based on user roles, ensuring that each user sees only the relevant data according to their permissions. |
