Totaling a column for a 12 month period and using in a sum
HI, I'm trying to work out how to get a total from a column for just a 12 month period and use in another sum.
For example. Column A (12 months total) + Column b (current total)
Is anyone able to help?
I've tried using the calculate function but it doesn't come up with the column I'm trying to use and I can't figure out why?
RE: Totaling a column for a 12 month period and using in a sum
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the forum question.
Is it a specific fixed 12 month period or a running 12 month period? Do you have a dates table in your data model?
If you just want to add one column to another column in the same table, you can write the measure
=Sum(column 1) + Sum(column 2)
