Duration
Hi there,
I recently had some MSP training from Ron and had a question to ask on MSP.
At the moment when entering a month into the 'duration' box it does not provide a full month i.e. 01/01/21 - 01/02-21,
Are you able to change this so that a month is a full month?
Thank you,
Bella
RE: Duration
Hi Bella,
Thank you for your question. Because Project doesn't schedule work on weekends as a default, 1 month in Project is actually 4 weeks of working days(20 days). If you want a calendar month, you need to set duration as 22 or 23 days depending on which month you're in. This also assumes that weekends are non-working.
If you need weekends to be working days, you can change this in the Project tab: Change Working Time - Work Weeks - Details. Select Saturday and Sunday, then set the hours the same as for weekdays. You will need to use 30 or 31 days instead of 1 month for duration.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
Marius Barnard
