How do I swap the layout of my horizontal & vertical data

RE: Layouts

Hi Peter,
Thank you for your forum question.

To change the layout of a list from horizontal to vertical you highlight a column or an entire list. You then copy the selected cells.

You cannot paste the new layout over the old layout. So he best thing to do is to go to a new sheet. Do a right click in the cell that you want to paste and choose Paste Special... and in the Pate Special dialogue box click the check box that states 'Transpose' and then click OK. And that should have changed the layout.

I have attached a word document with the steps. I hope it is clear but if you have anything to add or it is not what you intended to do then please let me know and we will find a solution together.

I hope this helps solve your issue.

Many thanks

Ron

Excel tip:

Hide columns in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you don’t want part of the Excel worksheet to be visible or when you don’t want certain data to appear in print outs, then a simple solution is to temporarily hide a column or multiple columns.

Hiding a single column:

1)Right click on the column header of the column you want to hide (this is the grey bar along the top edge of the worksheet)
2)Choose Hide from the menu
3)This column will now be hidden from view

Hide more than one column:

1)In the column header drag select to highlight the columns you want hidden
2)Right click and choose Hide from the menu
