Does anyone know why data exported to excel and then imported to power BI would come through with the code for symbols?
I use get data from an excel sheet exported from SAS EG, the data looks fine in excel, but imported to excel it comes through with 'x0020' for a space in text and 'x0028' for the & symbol. No matter what I try and do in power query I cannot get this to amend to text without the codes without going into excel and changing the columns to code, I don't want to have to do this each time as I want to hand over the SAS report with the report so they can do it themselves.
Any advice I would be most grateful.

Hi Matthew,
Thank you for the forum question.
Sorry I have no experience on this issue. I have done some web search and I found this link.
https://www.pbiusergroup.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=aa7787ed-7040-4b89-8ee2-ed8b47c01a9c& ;CommunityKey=b35c8468-2fd8-4e1a-8429-322c39fe7110&tab=digestviewer
I guess you already have seen this and you have tried the replace option.
If it is possible for you to send the Excel source file or just a sample I can have a closer look at the specific file.
