how do I make a spreadsheet a template which will saty the same/will not change wehn you add details.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the question.

The first thing you must do is create a blank spreadsheet, or at least a spreadsheet in the form that is ready to receive data. When that is done you save it as a template. So Under the File option you go to Save As and use the drop down menu at the bottom and pick "Template" as file type.

Then come out of the template as that is your original.

Then to access a fresh copy go to the File menu, down to New and on your task pane you will see Templates>on my computer. There you can find a fresh copy of the template you just created.

Excel tip:

Removing custom dictionary entries

If you add something to the custom dictionary in Excel you cannot remove it. The way to get around this is to go into word and remove it there.
