Hi Felicity here again!
thanks for your earlier response re adding additional delegates to a contact list. I managed to do this but, when I selected just those few names to resend the invitation to, Eventbrite resent it to everyone in the contact list. Im not sure why this happened.
However, new query is this:
A few folk who I have provided with the hidden code, are having problems. At least two have not been able to make the code work. One person had already registered her 1st delegate under general registration but then on entering the code, could not get beyond the screen to let her enter the additional two delegates. As the event organiser, is there a way that I can just get them registered manually when this happens?

Hi Felicity - it is possible to add delegates manually. Here's a brief overview - I have also included a link to Eventbrite's walk through.
Go to your event and choose “Manage”
Look for the Manage Attendees section on the left of the screen and choose “Add Attendees”
Choose the ticket types and quantity
Set payment then continue
If you are adding multiple tickets for this customer Eventbrite will offer a form with room for each person’s details
You can then choose “Complete Registration” which will add them to the attendee list
