How can I add gridlines to distinguish the weeks in the chart in
Hi,
I was asked to add a gridline to the project plan to distinguish each week. can you please let me know how to do this?
RE: How can I add gridlines to distinguish the weeks in the char
Hi Aniko
Thanks for your question - great to hear from you. See if this helps.
Go to the format tab and choose format gridlines then from the dialogue box select Middle tier column (the middle tier of timeline is usually set to show weeks) and pick a line type and colour.
When you click OK you should now have a line for every week - let me know if this produces the kind of thing you are looking for.
Kind regards,
Andrew

So, next question. How do I make sure it prints the weekly gridlines as well? It only prints the monthly ones for me at the moment. I choose the bottom tier which is set to weeks and it still doesn't do it.

MS Project tip:Typing Links Between TasksIn the Entry table, use the Precessors column to type in links. Type the previous task's ID to link. To change the link, add FS (Finish-Start), FF (Finish-Finish), and so on, and + duration to add a Lag, or - duration for a Lead time. Example: for task 5, 4FS+1w ... task 4 preceeds task 5, finish to start, with a week lag between. |
