Manually Scheduling
Hi
I attended a course yesterday and I mentioned to Doug that I could not change my software to manually schedule my programmes. He showed us how to go into options to change this. I have done this today but it does not change even when I have changed it. It stays greyed out.
Hope you can help
Thanks
Debbie
RE: Manually Scheduling
Hi Debbie
Thanks for your question. Here's something to try.
Does your project filename have the words "compatibility mode" beside it? If so it won't let you switch to manual mode. You could "save as" your project and choose the the top format from the list (project) to save it in the latest file format. This format supports switching to Manual scheduling mode.
Your file might be kept in an older file format to allow colleagues to open the plan if they don't have a newer version of the software. Might be worth checking before you upgrade the file.
I hope this helps - let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:Compare Work and DurationDuration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field. |
