Access Rounding Numbers
Hi there,
Access is rounding numbers.
The information is selected from a date range that the user inputs into a text box within a form.
Which then shows results in another form.
However I'm finding that in the query the form is based on the figures are as expected for example £69.20 however when pulled into a form it displays £69.
Can you help?
Nicole
RE: Access Rounding Numbers
Hi Nicole,
Thank you for the question.
If you open up he form in design view and look at the property sheet (if he property sheet is not open right click the unbound textbox containing your values and click properties).
Have a look at the Format properties and decimal places. If you select currency as format property you should get the figures as you want them.
Please tell me if this didn't do the job.
Kind regards

RE: Access Rounding Numbers
Hi Jens,
Thanks for responding.
I've given it a go and it still doesn't work
RE: Access Rounding Numbers
Hi Nicole,
If the data type is number (if it is number the field size must be single or double) or currency in the source table, in the query and in the form, it is difficult to say why the form shows an integer.
If you want me to have a look at your database, you can send it to me, and of course I will handle your data confidential and delete it afterwards.
You can forward the file to info@stl-training.co.uk
Just add my name in the subject.
Kind regards

RE: Access Rounding Numbers
Not sure how to send the table is an ODBC Data source,
I 've had a look at the field size and is 'Decimal'.
RE: Access Rounding Numbers
Hi Nicole,
I have had some time with Google and I have also talked to the other Best STL trainers with Access experience and no one can explain what is wrong. If all fields are set up to decimal and number of decimals are set to 2 you should see the decimals in the form.
I have also tried to simulate your database to see if I could do something to get the same problem, but I couldn't.
I do not know how your database is set up, but if it is possible to send the file I can have a look at it.
Kind regards
