Controlling Filters

How to select a filter on a master pivot that controls the same pivot filters of different tables in different sheets

RE: Controlling Filters

Hi Jeffrey

Thanks for getting in touch. For this, you will need to have good knowledge of all the controls on your PivotTables and embed them in IF structures.

The easiest thing to do is record yourself manipulating the PivotTables and noting the names and references that it records.

Then, you could use a control (or build another on a UserForm) and add an event, such as SheetPivotTableUpdate, to it that then manipulates those other Pivot controls.

Give that a try and let me know how you get on.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Apply currency format quickly in Excel

To quickly apply the currency format to cell in your spreadsheet, select (highlight) the cells you wish to apply currency format to, then use Ctrl + Shift + $

This will apply a pounds symbol even though the $ key is pressed.
