Hi Nigel,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.
Project 2010 has introduced the ribbon like word and excel etc. So the layout is completely different. There are new features such as the Timeline and manual and automatic scheduling. There is better resource planning and a new welcomed feature called the Task Inspector.
