Drop Down Menu
Hi. I should know this but it completely escapes me.
I have a list of 10 items (words) in a drop down menu (data validation) that I then need to code into numbers to do further analysis on. I can do it with a list box but need it in a drop down menu.
Thanks in advance.
RE: Drop Down Menu
Hi Simon
Thanks for getting in touch. You can take a couple of approaches with it. You could use a VLOOKUP working with the existing drop down that retrieves the actual value you are after, perhaps in a separate table.
Alternatively you could use a Form in Visual Basic with a combo box control. You can then manipulate the result using something like Combobox1.Value.
Are any of these what you are looking for?
Kind regards
