Importing Outlook folder

Hello,

I am trying to create a new import into an Access 2007 database from Outlook 2007, however I keep on getting the error message "Object or class does not support the set of events"

Anyone got quick fix solutions for this?

Thanks

Edgar

RE: Importing Outlook folder

Hi Edgar,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

I assume you are using VBA to do this just reading between the lines. In the VBA window, go to Tools and references and make sure the MS Access and Outlook library checkboxes are ticked.

I hope this answers your questions.

Regards

Simon

RE: Importing Outlook folder

Hi Simon,

Not even reached the VBA stage yet, just using the normal run import wizard option and everytime it regards importing anything from outlook that message comes up. I am using outlook 2007 and I have notced when trying out the export option, the wizard only recognises Microsoft Access 1997-2003; the database I am using is an Access 2007 one. Any other suggestions?

PS the MS Access and Outllok library check boxes are both ticked in the VBA window of the Access database.

Thanks a lot,

Edgar

Access tip:

Prefixed Autonumbering

When using Date Type = Autonumber as a primary key, clients may require autonumbering to be prefixed with a letter.

For example, P001, where P is the prefixed letter

Instructions
Step 1. Create Field Name
Step 2. Set Data Type to Autonumber
Step 3. Within Field Property General tabsheet,
enter Format property as [backslash]P000
