RE: reports

Hello Noel,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding reports in Project.

Project has 2 types of reports:

1) Built-in reports
2) Visual reports

Both these options can be accessed from the Report menu.

Built-in reports contain 5 categories and within each category there are a number of pre-designed reports which you may use to view project data.

If you double click one of these reports it will be opened in a preview window where you may modify settings using the top toolbar. The most common settings which can be changed are Page settings, margins, headers & footers etc.

The Visual reports can be viewed either in Excel or Visio. Excel creates a PivotChart coupled with a PivotTable. To use this form of reporting it would be good to be familiar with using PivotTables.

If you are comfortable with using Visio then feel free to try out the visual reports with that medium.

Give these a try!

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Rodney
