RE: Macros
Hi Richard
Thanks for getting in touch. Macros are actions in Excel that are recorded and played back at your command.
To record a new one, you will need to enable the Developer tab. In Excel 2007 go to the Office button and click Excel options: the option to enable the Developer tab will be on this screen. In Excel 2010 go to File, Options, Customize Ribbon. Check the box next to Developer to enable it.
On the Developer tab you will see a Record Macro option. Once you select this Excel will be making a note of all the commands you are performing. You must click Stop Recording when you are finished. Once this is done you can replay the commands from the Macros button on the Developer tab.
This is quite an in-depth topic with lots of room for error, so for more information consider attending our Excel Advanced training course.
Kind regards
