How to create a second set of CASH for a pivot table
RE: Pivot Table
Hello Ximena,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel PivotTable course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding how to create a second PivotTable which does not share the same cache as the first one. Please follow these steps:
1) Create the first PivotTable as normal.
2) To create the second PivotTable, select one cell in your original data set.
3) Press Alt+D followed by P. This was the Excel 2003 keyboard shortcut for Data, PivotTable. Excel will display step 1 of the old PivotTable wizard.
4) Click next in step 1.
5) Make sure your data range is correct in step 2.
6) Click Next. Between step 2 and step 3, Excel will display a lengthy message that encourages you to have this PivotTable share the cache with the other PivotTable in order to conserve memory. You want to click NO to this dialog.
7) In step 3 of the wizard, choose the location for your PivotTable. Click Finish.
If you group the second PivotTable it will not affect the first PivotTable.
Try this out... but remember, using a second cache will also increase the file size!
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.

Rodney
