I need to split a list of names into two columns (first name and surname). I cannot remember how to do this!

Thank you for your question regarding splitting text lists.
The best way of doing this is to:
1. Select the cells you want to split
2. On the toolbar click on DATA, then TEXT TO COLUMNS.
3. Step through the wizard, choosing DELIMITED on the 1st step and using SPACE as the delimited on the 2rd step.
That should split the names off. If you have too many columns, you might want to then use CONCETENATION to join them back together again (remember to put the space back in!)

Excel tip:Removing border lines on the keyboardHighlight your cell(s) that have boreders on them and press CTRL + SHIFT + _, this will then remove the border lines. |
