How to use function library

RE: If function

Hello Svjetlana,

The Function library is used to help you decide which function can be utilised along with instructions of how its used.

The function library can be obtained by selectioning the drop menu beside the Autosum button on the Home ribbon. At the end of the drop menu is the More Functions choice, select this.

A dialog box will appear, you can type in a question loosely based on what you are trying to achieve, e.g. need to count the number of days.

The program will list some function words that may be relevant, selecting these will display some help description at the bottom of the box. It also shows the syntax of how to write it and what info is required within the brackets.

For good examples click the More Help link at the bottom of the description text.

There are over 240 function words built in to excel, but many more are available from the internet.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Mark
