Is Microsoft Project the best program for working with resource only projects
RE: Resource Planning
Hi Natasha
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Forum!
It's hard for me to answer your question as there are many alternatives to MS Project and I don't have direct experience of them.
Take a look at the Microsoft Project page
http://www.microsoft.com/project/en-us/project-management.aspx
You may find the case studies and background information helpful. I would say that MS Project has been around for a long time and as such is established and stable which can make a big difference not least from the perspective of performance and reliability.
I hope this helps - do let me know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Hi Natasha
One extra thing - I said I'd add some Earned Value information - I hope the following is useful for you.

Andrew

MS Project tip:Inserting Task Durations QuicklyWhen entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day. |
