Changing colours in tasks

Hi

Is there an easier way to change the colour of the bars for all "sub-tasks" within a bold task, rather than selecting each individual bar?

Thanks

Lucy

RE: Changing colours in tasks

Hello Lucy,

Thank you for your question regarding changing the colour of sub-tasks as a group.

First hide all your summary tasks > Tools > Options > View tab > deselect Summary tasks

You will now left with only sub-tasks. Select all of the ID numbers > Format > Bar > Change the colour (do not select red as this colour is reserved for tasks on the critical path)

If you want all new tasks to be whatever colour you choose, first click Format > Bar Styles > Change the colour of Task.

After you have completed the above show all your summary tasks > Tools > Options > View tab > select Summary tasks.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

RE: Changing colours in tasks

Thank you.

This seems to have worked to an extent but I still have some bars that don't fill the space. For example I have a bar with a duration of 5 days that doesn't fill the 5 day period - it has a start date of 16 Jan and finish date of 20 Jan?

Please advise - perhaps we need to have a call?

Kind regards

Lucy
