PERSONAL file defaulting to .xlsb
Hi
Is there a way to change the default setting so that when I create a macro it defaults to save as .xlsm rather than .xlsb? at the moment it automatically saves as a binary file and I can't see a way to change it.
thanks
Lisa
RE: PERSONAL file defaulting to .xlsb
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your question.
You can change the default setting for a workbook to *.xlsm via the Office button and then Excel options. However, this will apply to all workbooks saved in your current session.
Office button - Save option on the left hand side - Change the Save file format to macro enabled workbook.
I hope this helps.
Regards
Simon

Excel tip:Formula for last day of monthIn some cases it is necessary to find the last day of a month for a given date. If you use the following formula, you can achieve this, ie; if you have a column of dates, use this formula to find the end of month for each day by using the fill handle. The formula is as follows, and assumes in this example that the first date in question is in cell C5, in any other cell type; =DATE(YEAR(C5),MONTH(C5)+1,1)-1 |
