Pasting values and not hidden rows/columns
when pasting values into a new spreadsheet how can I make it not paste hidden rows
RE: pasting values and not hidden rows/columns
Hi Julie
Thank you for your question - give this a try and see if it produces the results you are looking for.
First highlight your data
On the Home Ribbon click Find and Select
(it's in the Editing group - you could always right click on it and add it to the Quick Access Toolbar if this is something you will be doing a lot)
Click Go to and choose Special
Click on Visible cells only and then OK
Now copy your selection (Ctrl + C)
When you paste your data into a new sheet you will find it only includes visible items.
I hope this helps - let me know how you get on.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Excel tip:COUNT function vs COUNTA functionThe COUNTA function works in the same way as the COUNT function, except that it will count cells that contain text (labels) and also cells that contain numbers (values). The COUNT function will only count cells that contain numbers. Blank cells are not counted by either the COUNT or the COUNTA function. |
