Saving e-mails to a computer
I have been saving e-mails received in Lotus Notes format to folders created in Lotus but would also like to save them to my computer. I have tried all of the suggested format options to export the e-mails but when trying to open them from the computer files, I get a message asking me to define which programme created them. There does not seem to be an option to 'save as', only 'export'. Please could you advise me. Thank you.
RE: Saving e-mails to a computer
Hi Pam
You should have the option when you are exporting your emails to select which file format you wish to save them in, (ie, ASCii, csv, html, etc).
By doing this you can then open them in notepad, or Wordpad, but you will lose any formating you had in the original emails.
You maybe able to download a viewer application that will allow you to view the emails in their original format, best you check at http://www-306.ibm.com/software/lotus/
Hope this helps.
Regards
Jacob
