How do you change the text in a whole spreadsheet from lower case to upper case and vice cersa?
RE: Text and cases
Hello Caitlin,
Thank you for your question regarding changing text from lowercase to uppercase.
There is no easy way to do this especially when you are trying to do this on the entire spreadsheet.
First you have to add new columns next to the columns that contain text that you wish to change. Then you must create a formula using the PROPER function e.g. =PROPER(A1)
Copy the formula down to all cells. After this you need to select the new column of data... then copy the selection and paste values from the paste drop down button. This action removes the UPPER formula. Next, click the cut button and paste the results over the lowercase text.
Try it!!
To change from uppercase to lowercase use the LOWER function.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Rodney
