Custom view/favourites within a database

If we have a very large Database of Tables (40+) and Queries (hundreds) and I want to keep seperate the 5 or 6 tables and queries that I use most often so that they display at at the top of the list, is this possible? All I can see is the Custom view and it lists all unassigned objects, can I do something here to assign my favourites or something?

Thank you

RE: Custom view/favourites within a database

Hi Angie, thanks for your query. This isn't available out of the box in Access but you can hide and unhide objects in the navigation pane:

http://www.techonthenet.com/access/database/hide_tables2007.php

If you record two macros hiding and unhiding the objects you want, you'll effectively create your own custom view option in Access!

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Access tip:

Related tables

When you have related tables such as Customers and their Orders, the Customer table is the Primary table.

Open the Customers table in datasheet view and go to the Home Tab and Records group. Click on the More option and choose Subdatasheet and then click on Subdatasheet again. Now choose the related table (Orders) and click ok.

Now you can click the + symbol by each company to show the related orders.
