Hello Joy,
Unless you are using Pivot Charts, you need to filter the data that your Chart is built on in order to display the required data on the chart.
Select the required data and click the Filter icon on the Data ribbon tab in the the Sort & Filter group. Use the Down arrows shown on each column to filter your data, which will then be reflected in the chart based on it.
