Is it possible to filter or hide columns based on the contents of particular cells?

RE: Filter

Hi Nigel, thanks for your query. Not achievable without some code I'm afraid. You could conditionally format the contents of the cells to change to font colour white, but you can't use conditional formatting to change the structure of the worksheet.

Have a read of this for some indication of how you would use code to do this:

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Reset Excel toolbars to default settings

If you find any of your toolbars in Excel have changed (i.e. they are missing or have extra buttons) then you can reset them to their defaults.

1. Go to Tools - Customise.
2. Select the Toolbars tab.
3. Select (highlight) the name of the toolbar you wish to reset, then click the Reset button on the right.
4. Close the dialogue box.
