How do I allow for over burdened resources
RE: Resources
Hi Philippa
Thank you for your question.
You can quickly find over burdened resources as they are highlighted in red in the resource sheet. You will also see them in the Gantt Chart as there will be a small red icon of a figure beside each task with that has overallocated resources.
A great way to resolve overallocation in your plan is to switch to Team Planner view (available in MS Project 2010 Professional).
You can get to this view by going to the resources ribbon then from the View group clicking Team Planner.
The Team Planner view lets easily see who has too much to do and then by dragging and dropping tasks re-allocate activities.
I hope this helps - do let me know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:Compare Work and DurationDuration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field. |
