File security and access permissions
If an MS file is on a shared area, not a dedicated server, is it possible to put controls on the file so that some users have read only access, and others have full admin access i.e the ability to make changes.
Many thanks
Marie
RE: File security and access permissions
Hello Marie,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding file security and access permissions.
Depending on the operating system used by your company and exactly where this file is located will determine how you can achieve the sharing + permissions required by you. I would strongly suggest you speak with someone from your IT department and get them to help you with this issue.
After speaking with someone from your IT department please mark this question as resolved if they were able to help you out.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Rodney

MS Project tip:Inserting Task Durations QuicklyWhen entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day. |
