Multiuser database

Hi

I wonder if a database can be set in mustiuser mode so a few people can work on it at the same time?

I would appreciate your advise on this.

Thank you

RE: multiuser database

Hi Dorota,

Thank you for your question.

You could split the database which keeps the data(tables) in the main database and creates a new front end database that contains the forms, queries and reports. The front end is linked to the main database.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304932

The other person could open up the front end copy and create their queries, forms etc.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Access tip:

Dsum

You can create percentage values based on individual products / items by using a Dsum function (used with a grouped query)

[Each value column] / Dsum[field:total for the column needed to be calculated],[tablename]
