Look up Wizard
I have a Employee list/ table with Fields to enter Firstname and Lastname(also created a form for that). Also have a table for the Working Hours with Field Employee name which was created as a look up wizard(also have a form for that). Now my problem: I can look the names up but it only displays the first name-also in the look up I see both, but really I need to have first and last name displayed. Please help.
Many Thanks
RE: Look up Wizard
Hi Vivien,
Thank you for your question.
Create a query based on the table that contains the First and Last Name fields.
Add the First and Last Name fields into the query. Save the query with a name.
Click into the next available blank field name and type the following:
FullName:[FirstName]&" "&[LastName]
This will concatenate the First Name followed by a space folllowed by the Last Name when you view the results.
e.g. Simon Khan
Then go to the foreign key field in the hours table and choose Lookup Wizard. Choose the query and then select the field FullName. It will then display the Full Name rather than just displaying the FirstName.
I hope this answers your question.
Let me know.
Regards
Simon
