Removing timeline from weekends on the Calendar?
To clean up the calendar, I would like to remove the timelines from the weekend. I just don't think it looks right to show an individual working through the weekend when they don't. Is there a quick way I can do this? I have to do it for about a 3 month period for about 13 people. Any help would be great. Thanks
RE: Removing timeline from weekends on the Calendar?
Hello Ryan,
Welcome to our forum provided by Best STL and would like to thank you for your question regarding MS Project weekend timelines.
Many people would prefer to see the active work timeline to stop on the last day of the week and then restart again at the beginning of the following week. This can be achieved by moving the weekend bars in front of the task bars.
To do this you must right-click on the Gantt chart, click Non-working time then click the radio button in the top left corner which reads 'In Front of Task Bars'.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.

RE: Removing timeline from weekends on the Calendar?
Hi Rodney,
Thanks for the reply. That worked for the Gantt chart but not for the Calendar. The timeline still goes straight through the weekend. Any idea how to get that off the weekend on the calendar.
Thanks,
Ryan
RE: Removing timeline from weekends on the Calendar?
Hello Ryan,
I don't know of any way in which the task bar can be hidden over the weekend in the calendar view. If you will never be working over the weekend you can set the view to 5 days only.
To do this, right-click in the calendar view and click Timescale. Select the Week Headings Tab and then on the right hand side select the 5 day 'Show Work Week'.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
