HOW CAN YOU ROUND A FIGURE AUTOMATICALLY?

RE: Formatting

Hi Andrea, thanks for your query. To do this you need to Format the number property of the cell to however many decimal places you need. Select the cells you're interested in, Right-Click, Format Cells, select the number tab and the number category and set the No. of decimal places there. You could select entire rows and columns and then do this, and of course you could select the entire Worksheet and have every number entered rounded to the number of decimal places you specify.

There is also a function called ROUND which will do this as part of a formula.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

By selecting cells that only contain text, you can delete, fill or protect cells of this type.

Use short cut to Go to box (F5) or Edit, Go to
In the dialog box, click special button & select Constants and only check text or any other desired type.

Click OK.

And text cells will all be highlighted for you to apply format. Please note only works on one sheet at a time.
