Data in a single cell seperated by commas
How can I break up the data in a spreadsheet when it's all in column A, in the first cell. The creator used excel like word and typed in the first cell of each row, all the data - I need to break it up into data (seperated by commas) into each cell.
Thanks
Jim
RE: Data in a single cell seperated by commas
Hi James,
Thank you for your question.
In each cell is the text separated by commas?
If so, highlight all the cells with text in them and make sure there are enough blank columns to the right to separate all the words.
Go to Data and select convert text to columns. Choose Delimiter, tick comma and then click finish.
You should now have each word in a separate column.
I hope this answers your question.
Regards
Simon
