Adjusting the Y axis

Hi

This is quite difficult to explain without you seeing the file. I need to extend my Y (vertical axis) to fit all the data. I have tried dragging but the sheet does not seem to be big enough, can you help?

Thanks

Liz

RE: Adjusting the Y axis

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your query. If your chart is dynamically linked to your data, the scaling on the Y axis should automatically update to fit the largest data value. If it is not doing that, something is going on with the source data, possibly the cell formatting. Check that the cells are all formatting as numbers or currencies etc rather than text or general as this could affect what happens on the chart. Also try cutting and pasting the data onto a new spreadsheet and recreating the chart.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

RE: Adjusting the Y axis

Thanks Anthony.

I have checked the formatting on my cell data and all looks ok. Could I email you the file so you can see what I mean?

Thanks

RE: Adjusting the Y axis

Hi Elizabeth, that's no problem. Send the file to info@stl-training.co.uk
