Excel Graphs

Hi there

I am producing a simple bar chart graph in excel. This is very simple data with only one column. However i would like to put a series of lines horizontally across the graph to show a high point, low point and average point i.e I will be able to see on the graph how my data column compares to the 'highest point of data, lowest point of data and average data mark' which are mentioned elsewhere in my document.

is this possible?

Please help

Many thanks

Esther

RE: Excel Graphs

Hi Esther

For a quick workaround you might insert a line or lines manually. Go to the insert ribbon then choose Shapes, then select the line type that suits your purpose and draw directly on your chart. If you hold down shift when you draw you will find it easier to draw a horizontal line.

In the meantim I will check with my colleagues to see if is possible to create this directly within the chart.

Kind regards,
Andrew

Excel tip:

Closing Multiple Workbooks quickly

When you have several workbooks open in Excel and want to just close them all at once:

1) Hold down the SHIFT key before selecting the File menu.

2) Once in File menu release SHIFT key and select Close All option.

3) All your files will close. If files require saving Excel will ask if you want to save the changes.
