How do you trace formula errors

RE: Tracing formula errors

Hi Olga, thanks for your query. Your Formula Auditing tools in the Tools dropdown menu are key to this. Remember to select a cell with a formula in it, then use Trace Precedents to determine what cells are being fed into the formula, and then Trace Dependents to find out where the value generated by that formula is being fed into. Remember to use these tools when trying to troubleshoot a REF! error message.

Hope this helps,

Anthony
