.xla Format

Hi Anthony,

I saved an .xls file with macros as .xla and when I opened the file there were no deatils. How do I link the add ins?

Thanks

Selva

RE: .xla Format

Hi Selva, thanks for your query. Go to Tools > Add-Ins to open the Add-Ins dialog and use the [Browse] button to find it. Place a tick in the check-box next to your Add-In's name and click [OK]. Your macros should now be accessible but check the macro security settings on your machine (possibly also with IT if you can't see the macros).

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Adding Rows or Columns in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add a row to an Excel spreadsheet, these are the simple steps you should take:

With your mouse, right click on the row header below where you want the new row to be added. Then, click Insert.

Follow exactly the same steps if you want to add a column to an Excel worksheet, right click on the column header, choose Insert and the new column will be inserted to the left of the selected column.
