Hiding Worksheets

Hi

Is it possible to ‘hide’ certain worksheets? For example if I were to present some data to a client I may have a front page summary showing the headlines but also have another worksheet used to make the calculations. How would I hide the calculations worksheet if I do not wish this to be seen by the client?

Many thanks

Margarida

RE: Hiding Worksheets

Hi Margarida,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Open your spreadsheet and select the sheet you want hidden. Then go to Format, Sheet and Hide.

Then protect the workbook using Tools, Protection and then Protect Workbook. Type in a password, re-enter it and click ok. The other person will not be able to unhide the sheet without the password.

This should work and resolve your problem. I suggest you try it first and make sure you are happy it will resolve your question.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Excel tip:

Using Excel's MODE function

Use Excel's MODE function to display the most common value present in a particular range of cells.

The Mode function looks like this:

=MODE(cell range)

As an example, if 35 is the most commonly recurring number in a particular cell range, then the function will display 35.
