How do you update tasks that have slipped

Hi Bridget thank you for your question.
You can click on the task then from the Tools > Tracking menu choose Update Task. You can use the dialog box that appears to record actual work and remaining as well as actual start (and finish) information. Project will then redraw the task to reflect what took place.
