Logical Functions
Can you please confirm how an 'IF' or 'AND' formula may be written so the 'Answer' is colour coded? For example how can the cell with the formula in be made to be filled in red if a test is negative?
Thank you
RE: Logical Functions
Hi Andrew. You need to use conditinal formatting to achieve this. Select the cell with the end result formula in it. then Format-Conditional Formatting. Set Cell Value Is to "Equal To " and then "Answer", then apply the colour coding through the formatting tools beneath. You can apply three successive layers of conditional formatting, therefore creating a "traffic light" effect depending on the value of your answer. OK the dialogue box and cause the value in the Answer cell to change, you should see a corresponding colour change.
Hope this helps,
Anthony
