Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.
Is this a general problem you have all the time in Excel, or just in a specific instance? If it is something that has only occurred in a specific instance, can you recall the details of what you were trying to do then I might be able to help explain why you weren't able to use the shift cells left option.
