Print titles
I went to Page Layout, Page setup and print titles. Dialogue box asks you to enter rows to repeat at top. I have a table where I want the first five rows printed. How do you enter that information? I tried just putting in row 1 just to to repeat that row but it says reference is not valid.
What am I doing wrong and how to I enter multi rows or columns to be repeated?
What is the Print area dialogue box for?
RE: Excel
Hi Sally
Thank you for your question. Rows are specified as absolute ranges. So to print the first 5 rows you would enter $1:$5
An easier way to do this would be to click on the small icon to the right of the "Rows to repeat at top" cell. This hides most of the dialogue box out of the way enabling you to highlight the rows you would like to repeat. Click on the same button again to show the full dialogue box and Excel will put in the range for you.
I hope this helps - do let me know if you have any quesitons.
Kind regards,
Andrew
