Results of Formulas have to many decimal places
The results from my formulas often have to many decimal places, if I then import the data to Access or patse into another spreadsheet I have to many characters.
How do I limit the number of decimal places in my results?
RE: Results of Formulas have to many decimal places
Hello Lee
Thank you for your question.
If you are pasting into another spreadsheet, then maybe using the Paste Special options so that you can choose to paste formats and well as formulas might help, provided you have formatted the formula results to be the number of decimal places you require.
With regard to importing into Access, you might be able to use the Round function in Excel to round your formula results to a specified number of decimal places, then hopefully when the results of the Round function are imported the number of decimal places will remain the same.
Kind regards
Amanda
