What are the main advantages of using Macros and are they easy to self learn?

RE: Excel

Hello Grace

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Macros can be created from within Excel using the macro recorder, found on the Developer Ribbon. Creating a macro this way allows you to record yourself going through a series of steps you would take in Excel to complete a certain task; then play the macro whenever you need to do the same task again in the future.

Macros can also be created by writing VBA code, it is possible to learn this yourself if required however like anything else you might find that you end up having knowledge of certain areas but not a more general or rounded knowledge of VBA coding that is more likely to be acquired through structured training.

Kind regards
Amanda
